State-controlled Iranian TV released a video Sunday before its Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s speech. The horrifying fake footage shows a theoretical attack of a missile fired as Washington DC’s Capitol building becomes engulfed in flames.
The U.S. Sun reports:
Biden is now under mounting pressure not to surrender to Iran’s threats by Republicans as tensions between both countries continue to simmer. The Washington Free Beacon reported that Khamenei praised the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), who have repeatedly launched operations against the United States, in his address. The head of the IRGC, Qassem Soleimani, was killed during a drone strike conducted on Donald Trump‘s orders.
“The Americans have been for years deeply saddened by the Islamic republic’s influence, and they were angry with General Soleimani for this reason and martyred him for this reason,” Khamenei raged. Republican Senator Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania took to Twitter to denounce the fake attack on the US Capitol and increase pressure on president Biden to not bow to Iran’s aggression: “Last week, Iran’s chief diplomat allegedly admitted the IRGC calls the shots in Tehran. Now, Iran releases a fake video of the IRGC blowing up our Capitol. The Biden admin’s priority should be ensuring Iran cannot carry out such an attack, not capitulating by removing sanctions.”
Toomey’s post included the video as part of a tweet from @KasraAarabi, an analyst at London’s Tony Blair Institute who wrote: “Today pre-Khamenei talk, Iran state TV aired this clip depicting an IRGC attack on #Congress. Yes, its propaganda. But it shows the anti-US ideology of #IRGC, which is rising in power. Should the #US give #iran billions in sanctions relief before addressing the challenge of IRGC?” During his speech, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani claimed the US has lost the “economic war” against Iran.
He also said sanctions against Tehran are on the “brink of extermination.” Iran’s threats coincide with its increasing pressure for the Biden administration to reenter a Nuclear Deal. An unexpected relationship between the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) and Iranian Americans for Liberty (IAL) expresses the severity of the catastrophic consequences a nuclear deal could entail. The two groups formed Nonuclearholocaust.com to petition against a deal.
The website states: “Peace in the Middle East is blossoming. Indigenous Middle Easterners are united against the enemy of peace – the violent dictators of Iran. America should not stop the peace by empowering the enemy of peace.”
